Terms of Service

Recollo · Effective date: Not yet published

These terms apply when you use the Recollo iPhone app and its processing service. By using them, you agree to these terms.

Using Recollo

Recollo is an iPhone app for saving and organizing what you find, with an optional processing service that reads the public links you save. You can use the app without an account; processing, accounts and sync are optional. The Privacy Policy explains what information is handled and how.

Your content

What you save stays yours. We don't claim ownership of your saves, notes or files. Save and share only what you have the right to save.

When you process a link, you let the service read it and keep what it read and found, as the Privacy Policy describes, including keeping results for public links in a shared cache so the same link isn't processed twice.

Processing and results

Processing is automated, and parts of it use AI models. Results can be incomplete or wrong. Check them against the original before you rely on them, especially for dates, places, amounts, and health or safety information. Results are not professional advice.

How much you can process each month is set out under Plans.

Plans

Every account can process 20 posts a calendar month for free. The count starts again at midnight UTC on the 1st, and unused posts don't carry over. A post counts once its processing finishes: a post that fails doesn't count, and research papers and reference links never count. Processing a post again counts again.

You can buy Pro in the app with Apple's in-app purchase: monthly, yearly, or once for Lifetime. Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically at the price shown in the app until you cancel, which you do in your iPhone's Settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Lifetime is a single payment, for as long as Recollo offers processing. Apple handles payment, cancellation and refunds.

Pro processes up to 1,000 posts a calendar month, whichever way you pay for it. The limit starts again on the 1st, like the free posts.

When an account has used its posts for the month, new saves are still kept, but they aren't processed. They don't process by themselves later: you can process them yourself once the next month's posts arrive. Buying a plan processes them straight away while Automatic processing is on.

Acceptable use

Don't use Recollo to:

  • break the law or anyone else's rights;
  • scrape, overload or disrupt the service, or work around its limits;
  • send it content meant to harm the service or other people;
  • get into accounts or information that aren't yours.

Accounts and deletion

Keep your Apple or Google sign-in secure; you're responsible for what's done with your account. You can delete your account at any time in More → Account → Delete account. The Privacy Policy explains what deleting an account removes. Deleting an account doesn't cancel a Monthly or Yearly plan; cancel it with Apple.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

The service may change or stop

Recollo is still being developed. Features may change, and the processing service may be unavailable, limited or stopped at any time. The library on your iPhone doesn't depend on the processing service.

No warranty and limited liability

Recollo is provided as it is. We don't promise that it will always be available, that results will be accurate, or that it will suit a particular purpose. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that come from using it or not being able to use it, including lost data or decisions made from its results. Keep your own copies of anything important. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using Recollo after a change, the new terms apply.
